During wintermonths …
Tenerife South has been my “second home” in the winter months for three years now. Like so many others, I am one of the “winterers” who feel much better in their bodies because of the warm and dry climate here on this island.
Being independent is not a luxury.
I can live completely independently in the regions of Adeje, Las Americas and Los Cristianos. The shops, restaurants, hairdressers … Everything for which I have to rely on some form of assistance / reservation at home can be done here without problem and (often) without any planning. For me this feels like an incredible luxury, something that should be much better with us in Belgium.
My circle of friends sometimes laughs with me in these months … “She’s on vacation again, π ” and it’s really okay for them to think that way. However, for me this is a time of “living” here instead of in my cold country and I do the same here as at home. I rent an apartment or studio here, cook here as much as at home, do my PC work just as much as at home … Alone … with the sun in my body so I can really handle more ?.
Tips and locations.
The intention with my blogs about Tenerife is to give others who have difficulties to walk – or even (el.) wheelchair dependent – tips and places with which they can effectively do something.
I have visited the locations that I have indicated here and therefore also “inspected” ?.
If you have tips I would love to read them! Feel free to share all kinds of comments! Thank you in advance! ?
